Whoa. The Bible said what?

One of the most wonderful prayers in the Bible is where the Apostle Paul prays for the believers at Ephesus (Ephesians 3:14-21). This prayer is one in which we should meditate on regularly in our Christian walk; but verse 20 has a remarkable statement of fact that I think we should consider this very day.

Paul says that God “is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we could ask or think”; and I hope we know this to be true; but it is the next part we should grasp. Paul says that the power to do all of these wonderful things is at work in us right now!

The full measure of God the Holy Spirit dwells in every believer; but yet we fail to yield ourselves to it. We spend a lot of our time trying to quench it (1 Thessalonians 5:19); mostly because we are scared. Scared of the outcome because we know our own thoughts and battles (Romans 7:13-25); and as a result of the quenching, we fail to focus on the redeeming power of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:8-10).

If you are a Christian, God has put something wonderfully powerful within you – Himself.

Pray that you can surrender to it. Trust Him and walk by faith !

May God bless you greatly,

Pastor Mike
